Niche Marketing Strategy – My Winning Formula!

For the last 5 months I've been so wrapped up in my niche marketing strategy that I've simply neglected both this blog and my list of subscribers. I took a conscious decision at the beginning of January to really focus in 2009 on just one strategy for online success, and to not get distracted by my inbox!

Focus is definitely one of the critical keys to success. It's so easy in the online game to get thrown from one path to another as each new "game changing" product is released.

My niche marketing strategy is not "game changing". It simply takes proven strategies and uses a couple of awesome tools to automate it's repetition over and over again! And believe it or not the tools I use are very cheap!

Are You Aiming Your Pitch At The Flag Or The Green?

If your internet marketing efforts are not bringing you the rewards you were hoping for, you should read this short story and possibly it will help you sharpen your aim …

I used to play golf, but haven’t played for a while … a wife, 2 kids and internet marketing get in the way! When I did play, for a long time, I hovered around the 90 stroke mark. Not bad, but I knew that I could do better.

One day I was playing with a friend, we were about 100 yards from the pin and I was I lining up my shot to the green.

My friend looked at me and asked, “What are you going to aim at when you take this next swing?”

I looked at him like he was an idiot. “Obvioulsy I’m going to aim at the green!”

He grinned and then said, “You’re aiming at the wrong thing.”

Of course he was right and I was wrong! As he pointed out, I should have been aiming at the hole!

This was so interesting. My entire thought process was to aim at the green. Yet he object of the game is to get it in the hole. Why would I aim at something that wasn’t the ultimate goal?

The thing is more often than not I was missing the green, so in reality was a mile from achieving the ultimate goal!

So with a new mindset in place, I started aiming at the hole … what a brilliant idea.

Within a short space of time, I took my average score down to the low 80’s. Not only did I stop aiming solely for the green, I also changed the way I practised. Instead of focusing on how far I could smash the ball, I started spending more time on my short game. I started spending more time on the green putting, and I bought myself a decent putter. This new found focus on actually getting the ball in the hole made a huge amount of difference to my game, my enjoyment and my results!!!

What’s the point of all this with regard to internet marketing? Well basically you’re probably aiming at the wrong thing with your day to day tasks.

For example, your goal is to make a lot of money. Your flag is your Adsense account or Clickbank account. Instead of putting a ball in a hole, you want to put cash in your accounts.

Whatever your strategy, you goal is the same. Your goal is not to increase your traffic, it’s to increase your buyers … for example, with affiliate marketing, your target is to convert visitors to your site into buyers of the product you’re promoting. Therefore your focus should be on how you differentiate your promotion from that of other affiliates?

If all you do is put up the same banners as other affiliates, you won’t make that many sales. But if you add something to the offer that will improve your conversion rate, the differentiation will increase your sales. If you increase your sales you can afford to pay more to attain your traffic and therefore increase your sales again … you’ll keep putting the ball in the hole!

I hope this story helps you think about what you are focusing on … everything you do should be concerned with getting cash in your account …

Kingspoint Project - Can I Rank Better On My Own?

Following on from my previous post, I thought I’d update you on my progress in attempting to rank my Incorporation site on the first page of Google for the term “small business incorporation” ….

A few weeks have passed and up until the last couple of days I’d made very little progress to the point where I believe the linking strategies employed by the Kingspoint team actually damaged my rankings for that particular term … although it did work well with MSN!

So because of that, I decided to add a specific page targeting the keyword … and now you can see that page is at No.21 … pretty sure I can crack page 1 in the next few weeks, particularly with the linking power of Google Conquest added to my SEO arsenal!

Google is all about links, links from different IP addresses … that is what I’ve added to my SEO toolbox in the last few months … my niche sites are just starting to see the results of the hard work …

Google Conquest - The Best Money I’ve Spent In Ages!

Well I’ve neglected this blog over the last few weeks … been really busy setting up niche sites … literally own over 200 domain names now!! So as you can imagine, even with some automation, building sites has taken over my life!

So my strategy … build niche sites, build automated blogs, fill them with Adsense, Product Feeds and CPA Offers … and then build links … lots and lots of links to them …

This strategy works … not overnight, and there are a lot of up front costs … but over the next few months this will pay well …

And that’s why I splashed another $997 last night on Google Conquest … the latest big launch … IF I CAN’T MAKE A LOT OF MONEY WITH THIS MEMBERSHIP I’M GONNA GIVE UP FOREVER!!!

MSN Loophole By Chris Rempel and Dave Kelly

Last week I bought the “Ultimate Search Engine Loophole” by Chris Rempel and Dave Kelly (Linkvana fame) … it basically shows you how to consistently rank on MSN on the first page of their search engine results for almost any two or three word keyword phrase.

Having read it, I’d say it has a pretty good chance of working, their results would certainly indicate that to be the case … they reckon it takes anywhere from 1 week to 3 weeks for your web site to appear on page one, usually in one of the top 3 spots … now that’s a pretty big claim …

Well over the last week I’ve put together about 5 web sites exactly as they prescribe so we’ll see if the system works over the next couple of weeks … BUT … before you rush out and buy it, WAIT!!!!!!!!!

SubmitYourArticle.com Introduce Article Trickle!

If you read this blog regularly you’ll know I’m a big fan of SubmitYourArticle.com .

Well I’m now an even bigger fan! Their new Article Trickle feature is awesome. Not only can you now submit 100’s of unique articles to hundreds of directories and ezines, but you can set them to be submitted over a specified period of time rather than all on the same day!

Now think about this … you’ve just published a new niche site and you want to get it indexed quickly and get some visitors to it whilst you wait for it to appear in the Search Engine rankings. Thanks to SubmitYourArticle you can now, with just one base article, get hundreds of links, with different anchor text pointing to different pages on the site in minutes, or you can “trickle” the links to your pages over days, weeks or months, giving that natural feel to your linking pattern that the search engines like to see to new sites … It really is a must if you’re into niche marketing!

Anchor text variation is important because the search engines such as Google like to see natural linking patterns. When natural linking occurs, anchor text links appear as many different phrases. This is what you need to replicate as closely as possible.

Submit Your Article.com provides a service called "Article Leverage", it's a standard feature of your membership. What Article Leverage does is allow you to distribute multiple versions of your original article in just a few minutes. Your "multiple versions" can include lots of different anchor text links, which is just what we're looking for!

Let me explain a little more how it works …

First, you write an article of around 400 – 600 words, with a bio box as well.
Next you copy and paste it into the SubmitYourArticle template.
Then you turn on Article Leverage.

Article Leverage first of all asks you for at least two variants of your article title. It then asks you for at least one variant of each paragraph of your article. Finally it asks you for at least 2 further variants of your bio box.

You can add more variants of each element, those quoted above are the minimum numbers. I always add at least 10 keyword rich Title variants, at least 3 variants of the opening paragraph and then at least one variant of the remaining paragraphs (keep your paragraphs short for the best results).

Adding all those variants doesn't actually take long. What it achieves is a really high level of uniqueness to each article version spun by article leverage. Your original article literally becomes hundreds of unique articles! Now content spinners are not new, but the beauty of this one is that it actually submits the different versions to different article directories and ezines, so there is literally no duplicate content to worry about. Do this process just 8 times each month and you'll distribute hundreds of unique articles all over the web!

Going back to anchor text patterns, I always try and add 10 "bio box" versions to the article as well. Your article "bio" includes a link back to your site. So by creating 10 or more variants, I can use different anchor text in each one, pointing back to different pages on my site. Or I can use the same anchor text twice say for my main keyword phrase, just changing the remaining text in the bio box.

Literally with a click of a button I can create hundreds of backlinks all with different anchor text. Plus I can burn my SubmitYourArticle RSS feed and distribute it to all the RSS feed directories, multiplying the number of inbound links even further.

The Article Leverage feature is awsome, especially now that you can combine it’s power with their new Article Trickle feature …

I’ve been busy on other projects just recently and am guilty of neglecting my blog! One of my last posts was about the Kingspoint Project and how the Atomic Package had failed to live up to mine or Keith’s expectations …

So I decided to see if I could build the traffic to my Incorporation site on my own, and also to see if I could improve the rankings of the site for the term “small business incorporation” …

Well Google has turned out to be a tough nut to crack … I’m starting to think that the tactics employed by the Atomic project have harmed the site for that term (it ranks well for other terms in the niche) … I’ve managed so far to move the site from page 18 to page 14! Although that move has only happened in the last couple of days .. so it might start to surge forward now

MSN Live is a different story though … see below:

As you can see in a very competitive market we’re showing on page one …. we weren’t before so at least some progress!!

As for traffic, that has definitely improved and I’m consistently seeing between 30 and 50 uniques every day (even weekends) … and my Adsense income from the site is better than ever!!

So we’ll see what happens to the site in the next few days … I have tried one other tactic now to get ranked well in Google for the search term Small Business Incorporation … we’ll see if it works …

My next post will be about Chris Rempel’s new product (you’ve probably seen it), all about ranking on page one of MSN quickly, in the top 3 places …. well I bought it and am now testing it out … will talk more about it tomorrow …

I've Just Got A New Site On Page 1 Of MSN In Less Than 3 Weeks!

The Best Money I've Spent In Ages ...

It's been a while since I last sent you a message ... when you joined my list I promised not to bombard you with every offer that came along unlike a lot of other marketers ... but my latest purchase justifies a note ... Google Conquest !

Google Are So Helpful!

A couple of weeks ago I had an email from a guy at Google Adwords saying that the Adwords campaign for my Keyword Elite page had been paused as there was a problem with my web page. The email was really impersonal and simply referred me to their terms of service. Well I just could not see what was wrong with the page, it hadn't been changed for months, yet now it was a problem! So I replied to the email and asked for guidance? None was forthcoming.

So I made a couple of changes to the page and the Adwords Ad itself and resubmitted it. Within a couple of days I had a new email stating that my page was still invalid and if I tried running the campaign again my Adwords account would be terminated and that should I open a new account I would be in trouble! Charming!

I replied again begging for more guidance to which I got a reply … it stated that my page didn't comply with their terms and conditions … how frustrating!

The sooner someone comes along and destroys their dominance the better … would it actually harm them to offer a more precise reason for the non conformance … they obviously know what is wrong so why not share it with me!

Now what has really bugged me is that they have dropped my page out of their rankings! It was hovering just off page 1 of the serps. But since the Adwords problem it has disappeared without a trace!

So last night I bought a new domain, www.keywordelitemasterplan.com and published a new sales page … I've set a new Adwords campaign going so we'll see if they like it or not … if anyone can spot what they don't like on my original page, Keyword Elite, please let me know … maybe I'm been stupid, but I can't see what they don't like!

Article Marketer Review

Not posted for a while due to family commitments, but I wanted to write this post in reply to a comment on my last post …

In my last post, I mentioned that one of the services I use is Article Marketer.

One of my readers, Neil, left a comment saying that the service he’d received from them was less than great should we say, and that he’d read bad reviews. All I can say is that so far I’ve had no problems, all my articles have been distributed in a timely manner and I’ve had no technical problems … I do use the paid service though and not the free one.

I’ve taken some sample screenshots of the kind of backlinks you can expect from an article … take a look at these … they’re all articles I’ve written and distributed using this service …

In this screenshot you can see Yahoo has over 1400 results for the title of my article … if you go and search yourself you’ll see my name as the author!

And this third image shows over 900 results …

So basically, in my experience the service does what it says on the tin … it automates the distribution of articles to hundreds, if not thousands of directories and ezines … with minimal effort on your part … obviously others have had problems, but personally I only have positives to report …

Kingspoint Project Case Study - Going Solo!

Where has this week gone???????????

Ok, as I reported in my last post Keith Baxter has pulled the Atomic Project and I’m waiting to see the replacement … which he promises will bring better results … as I said in my last post, I still recommend you take a look at his site, the Kingspoint Project, it’s full of some top info that you don’t see elsewhere… even as a free member the info on offer is excellent!

So stay tuned and I’ll report back next week on progress … subscribe above so that you don’t miss the updates

So I’ve decided to use some of the tools I’ve discovered (some from Keith’s site) to see if I can move my ranking for the keyword he targetted. As of the start of the week my site was ranked 194th in Google for the term small business incorporation.

So this week I have submitted one article using the services of Article Marketer, and one article using the article leverage service of Submit Your Article. (the article leverage service allows you to distribute a separate version of your article to each directory and ezine, it’s pretty cool).

I’ve also outsourced the writing of 25 blog posts, that will each appear on separate blogs giving me 25 keyword targeted one way links back to my site. I’ve also started bookmarking my site with a social bookmarking service I subscribe to.

Tomorrow I will issue a press release and make a couple of blog posts on a couple of other decent page rank blogs that I have access to … and then we’ll see what happens over the next couple of weeks as the articles and blog posts go live …

Next week I may add some additional content / pages to the Incorporation site based on some keyword research using Keyword Elite, to attract some more traffic to the site.

Kingspoint Atomic Package Latest! (New Case Study)

Well I’ve had a note from Keith Baxter to say the Atomic package has been pulled!

Apparently it hasn’t achieved the results they expected it to, so it has been shelved and will be replaced any day by a new improved package … I just hope that previous Atomic customers will get a FREE trial of the new product!

According to Keith only the Nuclear package has delivered the kind of results they’d hoped for, so that package will remain on sale …

I still recommend you join the Kingspoint Project, even as just a free member, the content of the site is good and pretty unique …

As a result of being a member, I’ve discovered a load of new tools and methods I knew nothing about before … so its not been all bad … and the Atomic package did increase my traffic a bit to at least cover the costs of the package …

So what now?

Well like I say, I hope I’ll get a free trial of the new package … BUT also I want to see if I can use what I’ve learnt, and some of the new tools, to actually increase the traffic my business incorporation site gets and see if I can get it ranking well for the term “Small Business Incorporation”, the term that the Atomic Package targeted without much success … see the screenshot below …

As of today, the site ranks at a lowly 194 for ’small business incorporation’ … so lets see over the next few weeks what I can do to improve on that!!

Next, here is where my traffic for the site is at, remember at the start of the Case Study, I averaged 20 - 25 visitors per day …

As you can see it now averages 35 - 40 daily visitors, so again lets see what improvements I can make …

So keep tuned for the next 2 - 3 weeks … I’ll keep you posted! Plus as soon as I have details of his new product I’ll let you know!

Internet Web Marketing - Can It Make You Rich?

So … Internet Web Marketing – Can It really Make You Rich?

Whenever I tell someone I'm interested in internet web marketing, they usually ask me two questions…

Firstly, "what is internet marketing?" and then once I've explained what it's about they ask "can it really make you rich?"

So how do I answer the second question?

I answer yes it can, but don't expect to become rich overnight and don't think you can do it without spending any money or without a lot of hard work!

In the words of American poet Maya Angelou … "All great achievements require time!"

It takes time to build sites, get them indexed, grow your traffic and build lists. The only way you can avoid the hard work involved is to pay someone else to do it. So I'm a big advocate of outsourcing routine tasks so that you can achieve more quicker!

I also believe it's easier for most people to make a little money from a lot of sites than it is to make a lot of money from one site. I would certainly advise anyone to build multiple sites rather than to concentrate all their efforts in to one site. For example getting 30 to 100 visitors per day to a site is a whole lot easier than getting 300 to 1,000, so simply build 10 sites and apply the same traffic strategies to each of them.

I would also advise people to not get too hung up on the quality of their content, worrying about quality slows the process … worry about quantity instead! As Mike Leibner says, "words = money", so concentrate on getting lots of pages published first and foremost … and then get links to them … every page and every link is another way for someone to find your sites.

Where you can, pay someone to write your content and employ link building services … you have to be prepared to invest if you want to make serious money rather than pocket money.

So yes you can make it rich online with internet web marketing, but you need to have a plan and execute it quickly.

Give yourself a target and then break it down into achievable blocks and smaller targets with defined timescales for achievement. For example if you want to achieve $10,000 per month, you need to be earning around $300 per day. How are you going to do it? Affiliate sales or Adsense income? If you had 10 sites promoting affiliate products that converted one in a hundred visitors, and your commission on an average sale was $30, you could make your target with just 100 visitors per day to each of the 10 sites … that doesn't sound too hard does it?

The important thing is to have a plan that is broken down into achievable blocks and to stick to it …. And then invest some cash to achieve it … that's exactly what I'm doing now, I didn't use to though, I did what everyone else does when they start, I concentrated on one site and did everything myself … this approach will very rarely make you rich!

And the most important thing of all … again in the words of Maya Angelou … “Nothing will work unless you do.” Stop reading ebooks and start "doing". Set a plan, get the right tools, outsource as much as possible and keep it simple! Repeat, repeat and repeat again.

Kingspoint Project - The Long Awaited Update!

Well it’s been a couple of weeks since I last updated how my Kingspoint Atomic Case study is going , but at last here it is …

To be honest, I don’t think there has been any further work done by Keith’s team, and I need to follow up with them to find out whats going on … BUT … I do know that Keith Baxter lives in Houston and has been affected by the recent hurricane, in as much as he has been without power etc etc … and I know that some of his Kingspoint team are in the same boat … so even if they have power now they’re going to be well off schedule with their workload …

Traffic during the working week has remained between 30 - 50 visitors per day … if I remember rightly it was around an average of 25 per day when I started the project …

Interestingly Yahoo has over 200 inbound links recorded to the domain (some existed before the project but I don’t know how many, I should have recorded it! :roll:)

I think most disappointing to date is that Keith has failed to get my site anywhere near the top of the search engines for his targeted keyword phrase “small business incorporation”, in fact it has gone backwards since i last posted!

In summary, my traffic is still up from the start of the project and shows no sign of dipping … I’m getting around 400 more visitors per month at the moment … BUT I don’t think I’ve seen any activity in the last few weeks, so effectively one month of the Atomic Package has given me this increase in traffic. I need to contact Keith to see what the status is … its not been a waste of money by any stretch of the imagination, and with another month’s activity I would expect a further step up in traffic … and it should be remembered that I have not added additional content or done any seo on the site since the project started!

NOW THIS IS IMPORTANT!

On top of the traffic packages, Keith gives a ton of advice to members of the Kinspoint Project, advice and tips I’ve certainly not come across elsewhere … and his advice is responsible for me spending thousands of dollars last week on new software and automation services!

I’m confident that joining the Kingspoint Project has changed the way I’ll market online forever, and it will take me a lot closer to my goals!

I’m also very sure that I could get my site ranked on Page 1 of Google for “Small Business Incorporation” pretty quickly and build my traffic a lot with the knowledge I’ve gotten from Keith, and in particular by using the tools I now have at my disposal. And once I officially stop using the Atomic Package, I will continue the case study to see what I can achieve!

I would still advise anyone to join the Kingspoint Project if you’re serious about making money online … and I’m still hopeful that the Atomic Package will bring me more traffic whilst I focus on making money elsewhere from my new tools!

Article Marketer - A Great Source Of Backlinks

If you read my blog regularly you’ll know that I’m a big advocate of article marketing for two reasons. Firstly, article marketing provides your web sites with lots of backlinks to help your search engine rankings, and as your articles are republished, your links will move beyond just article directories. Secondly, links equal traffic. The more links you have leading to your web pages, the more likely it is that people will discover your pages. Articles equal links, and links equal traffic and rankings, and rankings equal traffic as well!

Previously I’ve talked a lot about SubmitYourArticle.com. I love this service because it takes care of the distribution task automatically, but in particular I love the way the service distributes unique variants of your articles to each of the article directories. This “uniqueness” gives your articles great chances of ranking for a number of keywords from the same content … it really is an excellent service.

In the last couple of months I’ve also been using a second service, ArticleMarketer.com. Again I’ve been very impressed with their service. It’s quick and easy to add articles and they get massive distribution. Just take a look at the screenshot above. Look how many links Yahoo has recorded for my “single” article!

Write a few articles and distribute using Article Marketer could easily bring you hundreds of thousands of inbound links. Regardless of what those links do for your rankings, you’ve literally created a hundred thousand paths for people to find your site for years to some!

I will definitely continue using both services in tandem as they bring different benefits … AM offers mass distribution and SYA offers a much better chance of getting different article variations ranking well for different keywords.

Both sites are great examples of paid automation!

Google Page 1 Listing For Only A Dollar!

In recent weeks I’ve discovered a great method for getting my content listed on page one of Google for just a dollar! Not only that, it appears high in the rankings within 24 hours!

My tests have shown that the method works consistently. When there are less than 500,000 competing pages in Google’s results, you’ll get a place on Page 1. If there are more than that, you may have to settle for pages 2 or 3, but even then there is a chance that your content may get a few links to it and push it up closer to the coveted first page.

The best I’ve achieved so far is No.3 in Google within 4 hours! That was for a term with 330,000 competing pages.

With very few exceptions, this technique has worked incredibly well.

So how do you get the most from the system?

Good old keyword research again! Use a tool like Keyword Elite to find a bunch of keywords related to your product that have less than 500,000 competing pages. Then simply write your content around those phrases. Then apply this system to the content you’ve created.

Within a week or two you could be dominating Google for quite a few keywords accumulating reasonable targeted traffic from them … the cost: Your time and $1 per keyword phrase!

Cheaper than Adwords for definite!

What about phrases that prove trickier to achieve Page 1 for?

Well you could try the following quick techniques to give your content a little extra ranking jiuce:

- you could add links to your new content from your existing sites
- you could add a Hub Page or Squidoo Page pointing to your content
- you could get a blog on Wordpress.com (PR9 homepage) and add short posts linking to each article you add to the system

The best bit about methods 2 & 3, is that these posts and pages will have a good chance of ranking themselves if you’ve done your keyword research correctly!

Remember, you only need to do the extra links for competitive phrases that you miss Page 1 for.

This is a gem of a system, it really is … I was amazed when I first applied it and saw my content on Page 1 within hours.

Keyword Research Beyond Google’s Search Results

Well it’s getting on for six months ago since I did a case study on my friend’s site, French Holidays Aude. As I write this, his site is still number one on Google for that search term. It was nowhere when I started the exercise of getting it ranked for him.

His holiday site is now getting a steady stream of traffic, and he’s enjoying life in the sunny south of France whilst I’m stuck back in the wet UK.

Now he’s set up a second site about Curtains and Cushions, his wife is a seamstress. He sent me a note the other day saying that he’d had a look on Google and the competition was pretty fierce for ‘cushions and curtains’ as a search term, 2.1 million competitors according to Google … so could I help him again? … I’m still waiting for the wine he promised last time!

Case studies make good content for a blog … so here we go again!

Ok, so his new site ranks nowhere at the moment … his competition according to Google is as follows:

Curtains 34.5 million worldwide, 3.5 million in the UK

Cushions 19 million worldwide, 2 million in the UK

Curtains and Cushions 2.1 million worldwide, 660,000 in the UK

The first thing I’m going to do is, you guessed it, some keyword research. I want to find him 20 to 30 keywords that he can build 20 pages around. These keywords will be keywords that give him a chance of ranking well and will attract enough searches for him to get some reasonable traffic.

The keyword tool I always use for my keyword research is Keyword Elite. In just a few minutes I’ll be able to identify a bunch of keywords that attract searches and advertisers (making them more likely to be “buying” keywords), and determine the competition for each.

Keyword Elite will give me all the data I need for each keyword phrase:

- Number of Competing Pages
- Number of Allintitle Competing Pages
- Number of Monthly Searches
- Number of Google Advertisers per Phrase
- Top Adwords Bid Amounts per Phrase

This really is awesome information. It allows me to select keyword that will rank, get searches and are likely to produce sales.

Once I’ve identified the keywords in the next couple of days, I’ll follow up on this post with the next stage of getting this site some rankings, traffics and sales …

Free Press Release Service You Should Try!

I used the this free service, Free Press Release. So far I’m impressed with what I’ve seen. Whilst it is essentially a free service, I did pay $6 to have it appear on their Page Rank 5 homepage for a month, but that is an optional feature.

I’m interested to see what traffic this service brings … I’ll report back in a few days … but if you’re looking to distribute press releases you should give this service a try … not a lot to lose when it’s free!

5 Lessons In Management!

Here are 5 reasons why I prefer Internet Marketing to my day job as a Manager … these lessons are funny! (don't read if the word Sh*t offends you )

Lesson 1:

A man is getting into the shower just as his wife is finishing up her shower, when the doorbell rings.

The wife quickly wraps herself in a towel and runs downstairs.

When she opens the door, there stands Lusty Lyell, the next-door neighbour.

Before she says a word, Lusty Lyell says, ‘I’ll give you $800 to drop that towel..’

After thinking for a moment, the woman drops her towel and stands naked in front of Lusty Lyell, after a few seconds, Lusty Lyell hands her $800 and leaves.

The woman wraps back up in the towel and goes back upstairs.

When she gets to the bathroom, her husband asks, ‘Who was that?’
‘It was Lusty Lyell the next door neighbour,’ she replies.
‘Great,’ the husband says, ‘did he say anything about the $800 he owes me?’

Moral of the story:

If you share critical information pertaining to credit and risk with your shareholders in time, you may be in a position to prevent avoidable exposure.

Lesson 2:

A priest offered a Nun a lift.

She got in and crossed her legs, forcing her gown to reveal a leg.
The priest nearly had an accident.

After controlling the car, he stealthily slid his hand up her leg.
The nun said, ‘Father, remember Psalm 129?’

The priest removed his hand. But, changing gears, he let his hand slide up her leg again.
The nun once again said, ‘Father, remember Psalm 129?’

The priest apologised ‘Sorry sister but the flesh is weak.’

Arriving at the convent, the nun sighed heavily and went on her way.

On his arrival at the church, the priest rushed to look up Psalm 129. It said, ‘Go forth and seek, further up, you will find glory.’

Moral of the story:
If you are not well informed in your job, you might miss a great opportunity.

Lesson 3:

A sales rep, an administration clerk, and the manager are walking to lunch when they find an antique oil lamp.

They rub it and a Genie comes out.

The Genie says, ‘I’ll give each of you just one wish.’

‘Me first! Me first!’ says the admin clerk. ‘I want to be in the Bahamas, driving a speedboat, without a care in the world.’

Puff! She’s gone.

‘Me next! Me next!’ says the sales rep. ‘I want to be in Hawaii , relaxing on the beach with my personal masseuse, an endless supply of Pena Coladas and the love of my life.’

Puff! He’s gone..

‘OK, you’re up,’ the Genie says to the manager.

The manager says, ‘I want those two back in the office after lunch.’ Moral of the story:

Always let your boss have the first say. Lesson 4

An eagle was sitting on a tree resting, doing nothing.

A small rabbit saw the eagle and asked him, ‘Can I also sit like you and do nothing?’

The eagle answered: ‘Sure, why not.’

So, the rabbit sat on the ground below the eagle and rested. All of a sudden, a fox appeared, jumped on the rabbit and ate it.

Moral of the story:
To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very, very high up..

Lesson 5

A turkey was chatting with a bull.

‘I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree’ sighed the turkey, ‘but I haven’t got the energy.’

‘Well, why don’t you nibble on some of my droppings?’ replied the bull. They’re packed with nutrients.’

The turkey pecked at a lump of dung, and found it actually gave him enough strength to reach the lowest branch of the tree.

The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch.

Finally after a fourth night, the turkey was proudly perched at the top of the tree.

He was promptly spotted by a farmer, who shot him out of the tree.

Moral of the story:
Bull Shit might get you to the top, but it won’t keep you there.

Lesson 6

A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold the bird froze and fell to the ground into a large field.

While he was lying there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on him.

As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, he began to realize how warm he was.

The dung was actually thawing him out!

He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy.

A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate.

Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him.

Morals of the story:

When you’re in deep shit, it’s best to keep your mouth shut!

Using Software Scripts To Get Backlinks And Build Your List!

This has again been a busy week, and an exciting one …

I've kicked off yet another new project, and this one involves software creation. I'm no techie, so for the first time I've actually put a software spec together and have put it out for quotes on Rentacoder.com

I've had quite a few responses and a range of bids … will need to make a decision this week. In reality, it's not as expensive as I'd envisaged it would, so I'm pleased, and one guy has actually sent me some screenshots of software he's developed for me that looks great … and he hasn't even bidded yet!

I plan to use the software to analyse potential niches and to find potential article titles that will pull in a lot of traffic … if it works like I think it should, I plan to use the results along with some other information on keywords and affiliate products as content for a new membership site … I think it has big potential … anyway more to follow on this in the coming weeks …

But what this exercise has brought home is that getting simple software scripts written is dirt cheap … I'd never considered it prior to this being a non techie … but now I'm considering the potential …

There are tons of shareware sites out there that you can upload software scripts to for free download … why would you want to do this?

Firstly, every site you upload your script to will give you a keyword targeted link back …

Secondly, you could build in to the script a sign up requirement on installation … this is a great way of building a list!

Now if it sounds like a lot of work uploading your script to lots of sites individually, think again. PromoSoft is an easy to use tool, which automates the process of promoting your scripts on the Internet. It can automatically submit your shareware/demo/freeware applications to more than 800 download sites and archives within minutes. That's hundreds of inbound links in minutes … there is a shareware version and paid version … take a look here … http://www.develab.net/

If you need some script ideas, try looking through the projects at www.rentacoder.com for inspiration, or through some shareware sites. If you come up with a good script or piece of software, build the sign-up requirement into it and try and get it promoted on http://www.giveawayoftheday.com … you could have a massive list within 24 hours …

Using Rentacoder.com has certainly got me thinking about how a hundred bucks or two could get me tons or links or list members …

Free Viral Traffic System - Have You Got 10 Minutes?

Have you got 10 minutes to spend setting up a system that will virally bring you free traffic for a long time to come?

I found this particular viral system when I was searching through some Traffic Swarm members' sites. It caught my eye straight away.

The system is very simple (although there is obviously a fair bit of programming gone in behind the scenes), and if you promote the right kind of page with it, I can see it being really effective. The best bit is it's totally free and only takes 10 minutes to implement. Once you've completed your set up, all you need to do is send some traffic to it periodically, the rest is done on autopilot. You can take a look here at the system, but I recommend you read the rest of this to get my tips for maximising your viral results!

So how does it work?

Basically you have your own page generated for you and it sits on the server of the guy who developed the system (Chris Masterson). The page displays 7 adverts, one of which will be yours. One of the ads is a sponsored ad, then below that are 6 member ads. On your personal page, your ad will be shown in position 1 of the member ads, below the sponsored ad.

When a visitor finds your page and decides he wants to add his site to the viral system, he has to visit all 7 sites advertised on your page in turn, one of which will be the site you have chosen to promote in your ad. When he clicks on each ad, a new window opens displaying the member's actual web page. The visitor has to wait 20 – 30 seconds for a code to appear in the window. Once he has the code he has to copy and paste it into a box on your virally generated page. He needs to copy all 7 codes in to the boxes before he can generate his own viral page with his ad on it. It takes about 5 - 10 minutes to complete … then you get your free page!

Ok, so that all sound complicated the way I've explained it!

Simply put, when someone new wants to join this viral network, they have to visit 7 member sites before they can join. When they join via your viral page, one of the ads will be yours and so they will be taken to it, and they'll be there for at least 20 – 30 seconds!

Once they have their own viral page, their ad will appear in their top members' ad spot, and your own ad will appear at number 2. So any visitors who join from their page will be taken to your site as well. Basically, because there are 6 member ads, this is a 6 tiered system that can potentially send you thousands and thousands of visitors.

Think about it like this …

If you and four others click on the link above to my viral page, and you all decide to join and promote your own sites in the system, the five of you will all visit my site and see the page I'm promoting!

If each of you generate an average of 5 new members yourselves, that will be 5 new visitors to your promotional page and a further 25 to mine!

If those 25 visitors generate another 5 members each, you will receive another 25 visitors, and I'll get another 125!

Now lets pause for a moment as I'm sure you're getting the drift now of how it works …

You will see my ad in the number 1 position, as will 4 others.

You're first 5 members will see my ad in the number 2 position, in this example, that's 25 visitors to me.

The next tier of 125 visitors will see my ad in the number 3 position

The next tier of 625 visitors will see my ad in the number 4 position

The next tier of 3,125 visitors will see my ad in the number 5 position

The next tier of 15,625 visitors will see my ad in the number 6 position

The next tier of visitors won't see my ad as it will have disappeared off the page!

In summary, if everyone in the system generates just 5 members, you'll receive 19,530 visitors to your site, all for just 10 minutes work and a small amount of effort in sending a handful of visitors to your viral page to set the viral effect in motion.

But it doesn't stop there, if you keep sending traffic to your viral page, the process will keep repeating time and time again!

Ok, now be prepared to be staggered … instead of the 5 new members, what if everyone in the chain attracted 10 new members … you would receive over 1,000,000 visitors to your offer!!!

As you can see, the numbers soon add up!

So what are the secrets to making this system a success? How can you drive thousands of visitors to your site and get them to take action?

Firstly, to get your visitors to take action, I think you need to promote one of your squeeze pages rather than a sales page. Why? Because the people who visit your site are primarily doing so to grab a code to implement a free system … "FREE" is the key word, they're not looking to buy! In fact they're looking for "free traffic"… so your perfect offer will be something "free" to do with "web traffic".

I know whilst I was waiting for the code to appear I did look at the pages that loaded, and if they were Internet Marketing related, I looked harder! But I didn't buy! I did make a note of a couple of urls to go back and review again, if they'd had squeeze offers I may have signed up!

So my advice, promote a page that is offering something for free! Preferably internet marketing related, and with an enticing headline at the top of the page to catch attention whilst waiting for the code to appear!

Secondly traffic. To get the most out of your page, you need a "promotional page" like this one to link to your viral page. You should drive all your traffic to your promotional page first. Pre-sell the system:

- Explain it's simplicity
- Explain it's viral potential
- Explain which type of page is best promoted with the system
- Explain the absolute importance of promoting the system to other webmasters

Everyone that joins needs to understand the importance of promoting the system and capturing as many new members as possible to keep the viral momentum going!

What promotional methods work?

- Traffic Swarm works because that is how I found this viral system … and it's free

- Google Adwords … not free, but effective to kick start your viral process
- Your Subscriber List – send out regular emails promoting the system
- Your Blog – post on your blog the benefits of the system and ping it!
- Ezine Advertising – try some ezine ads
- Bookmark your promotional page on the social sites
- Forum Posts – put your promotional page in your signature
- Article Marketing – distribute traffic articles with a link in your resource box

Remember, you only need a handful of members to get a lot of traffic … now if you can hundreds to sign up … well imagine the possibilities …

Kingspoint Project Atomic Package Case Study - Week 4

Blimey the weeks go quick … I’ve been meaning to post an update to the Kingspoint case study all week but have been so busy!

Well week 4 saw the same level of traffic hitting my Small Business Incorporation site as last week … roughly between 35 - 40 visitors per day on average, slightly less at the weekends … so far I’ve been satisfied, but I will be disappointed if the traffic isn’t up another notch in the next couple of weeks … I’ve decided to run the case study for another month, it’s not cost me too much so far as the increase in Adsense earnings has paid towards the Atomic Project costs …

One thing I did notice this week, is that my homepage has moved into the top 10 pages for the search phrase “small business incorporation” for the first time … if the linking work that Keith has been doing works as expected the ranking should improve to page one shortly and then the traffic should move to another level …

I think it’s important to remember that the work Keith and his team do is aimed at long term growth of sustainable traffic, rather than big, short lived hikes in visitors … lets face it, anyone can achieve the latter …

So, I’m keeping the faith ….

How To Leverage Your Content Creation For Maximum Benefits

So you’ve got a bunch of content that you’ve written yourself for one specific purpose, well don’t just use it once and move on to writing more content … leverage your initial efforts and get as big a return as possible from your content creation efforts!

How? Here are a few ideas for you to consider:

E-Books & Mini-Reports

An obvious one to start with! If you’ve written a bunch of articles for your blog or for distribution to directories, simply pull them all together into a pdf and either sell the ebook or give it away via a squeeze page.

Audio Books

Record yourself (or someone else) reading your content or ebook. Again you can sell it or give it away, or sell it with the pdf format and increase the price!

Podcasts

Record yourself talking about your content and add it to your blog or site as audio content, you can also distribute it via directories and RSS to get back links and traffic.

Newsletters

Use your content in your newsletters. For example if you’ve written an ebook, you could take small sections and use as newsletter content.

Blog Posts

As with newsletters, take an ebook and break it into sections that you can use as blog content.

Courses

Simply reformat your content into a logical sequence and market it as a course, either free or paid for. As above you could record audios in the form of a course as well.

Membership Site

Include your text, audio and video content in a secure website where your clients pay you each month for access to the material. The great opportunity here is it is residual income that continues each month.

Article Marketing

Crop your book content into smaller sections – and you've got a ton of articles you can use online or offline.
I know this all sound obvious, but how many of us actually fully leverage our work in this way? How many articles have you created into podcasts to increase your distribution options? How many articles and blog posts have you collated in to pdfs?

Take a look back and review everything you have written or had written for you and consider
how you can recycle it to produce new content variants … you’ll be surprised!
