So … Internet Web Marketing – Can It really Make You Rich?

Whenever I tell someone I'm interested in internet web marketing, they usually ask me two questions…

Firstly, "what is internet marketing?" and then once I've explained what it's about they ask "can it really make you rich?"

So how do I answer the second question?

I answer yes it can, but don't expect to become rich overnight and don't think you can do it without spending any money or without a lot of hard work!

In the words of American poet Maya Angelou … "All great achievements require time!"

It takes time to build sites, get them indexed, grow your traffic and build lists. The only way you can avoid the hard work involved is to pay someone else to do it. So I'm a big advocate of outsourcing routine tasks so that you can achieve more quicker!

I also believe it's easier for most people to make a little money from a lot of sites than it is to make a lot of money from one site. I would certainly advise anyone to build multiple sites rather than to concentrate all their efforts in to one site. For example getting 30 to 100 visitors per day to a site is a whole lot easier than getting 300 to 1,000, so simply build 10 sites and apply the same traffic strategies to each of them.

I would also advise people to not get too hung up on the quality of their content, worrying about quality slows the process … worry about quantity instead! As Mike Leibner says, "words = money", so concentrate on getting lots of pages published first and foremost … and then get links to them … every page and every link is another way for someone to find your sites.

Where you can, pay someone to write your content and employ link building services … you have to be prepared to invest if you want to make serious money rather than pocket money.

So yes you can make it rich online with internet web marketing, but you need to have a plan and execute it quickly.

Give yourself a target and then break it down into achievable blocks and smaller targets with defined timescales for achievement. For example if you want to achieve $10,000 per month, you need to be earning around $300 per day. How are you going to do it? Affiliate sales or Adsense income? If you had 10 sites promoting affiliate products that converted one in a hundred visitors, and your commission on an average sale was $30, you could make your target with just 100 visitors per day to each of the 10 sites … that doesn't sound too hard does it?

The important thing is to have a plan that is broken down into achievable blocks and to stick to it …. And then invest some cash to achieve it … that's exactly what I'm doing now, I didn't use to though, I did what everyone else does when they start, I concentrated on one site and did everything myself … this approach will very rarely make you rich!

And the most important thing of all … again in the words of Maya Angelou … “Nothing will work unless you do.” Stop reading ebooks and start "doing". Set a plan, get the right tools, outsource as much as possible and keep it simple! Repeat, repeat and repeat again.
